I decided to open a tumblr blog because I wanted to share my passions with other people. However, this tumblr will be very random - as the name suggests - so please expect to find all kind of otaku-stuff. I’ll sometimes post news and useful info about manga and anime, but more likely I’ll reblog images and quotes. Please, do remember I’m kind of obsessed with boys’ love manga! Hello, you can call me Aocchan! I’m no good at writing about me, so I don’t really know what to say. I already spent an hour or so a lot of time to write the sidebar info. So… just read it XD But there is something I want to tell you! This section had to be made. I’m so helpless when it comes to my love for manga. So… first of all, I can like everything and nothing. I usually like well drawn manga, with well developed characters and original plots. However, even if a manga has a wonderful art, if its plot is bad I won’t like it anyway. So… it’s like everything has to be balanced.
Talking about personal preference, I like psychiatry and psychology, so I love manga with mentally disturbed characters and this makes me wonder if I’m mentally disturbed myself. In boys’ love, I must confess I like *cough cough* sadomasochism well I knew it, I’m mentally disturbed after all. But I’m also veeery romantic! So I melt during sweet&corny scenes. I have no prejudices about manga genres, I like reading shojo, shounen and boys’ love. I like those manga that can amaze me, so if it’s a shojo, a shonen or a BL it doesn’t matter. What does matter is the contents. For example, one of my favourite mangaka is Asumiko Nakamura - she’s a real creativity genius - and one of my favourite BL is the Doukyuusei series. I also like old classic Year 24’s works like Kaze to Ki no Uta, The Roses of Versailles and Poe no Ichizoku. I’ve read many Hinako Takanaga’s works and even though I liked them all, the only one which made it to my favourites is Little Butterfly. Other artists I appreciate are Nao Tsukiji and Lee Young-Hee. Of course I like shonen, I’m kind of obsessed with Bleach and Trinity Blood, as well as Ao no Exorcist and Katekyoshi Hitman Reborn! Not to mention Kuroshitsuji ♥ Talking about shojo, my favourite mangaka is the sadly unknown Yuana Kazumi. I also love Host Club, Venus in Love, High School Debut, Kamisama Hajimemashite! and Lovely☆Complex. About anime… for them I use a similar criterion!
